The landslide took place around 11:40 (03:40 GMT) on Sunday morning in Guangming New District on the outskirts of Shenzhen city, and a nearby section of the West-to-East natural gas pipeline exploded after the landslide.

A total of 91 people remain missing, including 36 males and 23 females

The landslide has blanketed a vast area of 60,000 sq m(50.109 sq yards)covering it up to an average 6m(19.68ft)of mud.

The landslide was allegedly caused by improper storage of heavily-piled waste soil instead of natural geological hazard.
